UDallas awards automatic merit scholarships of up to $35,000 per year to qualified incoming freshmen at the time of admission. These scholarships are based on the application for admission and transcripts/GPA, and are completely funded by UDallas. No additional application is required. Amounts listed below are for students starting classes in fall 2025 or later.
All UDallas non-need-based scholarships and grants are reserved for full-time undergraduate students seeking their first bachelor’s degree.
Renewal requires an annual minimum cumulative GPA and full-time enrollment status. A student may compete or be eligible for a combination of non-need-based scholarships and grants but, when combined, cannot exceed tuition unless otherwise noted. The number of scholarships awarded is not limited.
Note: Scholarships and grants may be combined with federal and state grants, not to exceed full tuition.
Amount: Up to $35,000 per year, renewable
At the time of admission, academic scholarships up to $25,000 per year are awarded to qualified freshmen based on either the highest test score (or superscore) or the weighted or non-weighted GPA. UDallas offers 13 full-tuition, competitive scholarships, renewable for all four years, to high school seniors.

All applicants are invited to apply for our most prestigious scholarship competition. Eight scholarships are available. Those with the most outstanding academic accomplishments will compete for full tuition awards in Scholars of Excellence, and applicants who stand out as offering a unique contribution to the culture and community of the University of Dallas will compete in the Crusader Scholarship contest, with a creative and expressive component.
Eligibility: Students who show outstanding potential for studying some of the most popular academic disciplines below.

This distinguished departmental recognition can be added to any academic scholarship and is renewable for up to eight semesters. Although many applicants may be qualified in multiple subject areas, each student may only apply for one award.

The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is given to members of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society who:
Transfer from a two-year institution.
Have completed a minimum of twenty-four credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 3.5.
Submit a letter of recommendation from their Phi Theta Kappa advisor, or submit a copy of their Phi Theta Kappa membership card, or have PTK membership noted on their official college transcript.
Students who meet all three of these requirements are guaranteed a $2,000 achievement scholarship in addition to any University of Dallas merit scholarship that they may be eligible for.
To Apply:
Students must submit a letter of recommendation from their chapter advisor in addition to their admission application in order to be eligible for the award. If PTK membership is noted on a student’s official college transcript, or if the student submits a copy of their Phi Theta Kapp membership card, a letter of recommendation is no longer necessary. Applications must be submitted by January 1st to be considered for the spring semester or by July 1st to be considered for the fall.
The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship requires official documentation of Phi Theta Kappa membership and 24 or more community college credit hours earned after high school graduation.
Due to the generosity of our endowment fund donors, we are able to offer multiple scholarships to students. Recipients will be chosen based on the specific requirements of each endowment fund.
Deadline: Applications must be received by 11:59 pm CDT, Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Applicants must be incoming or current, full-time undergraduate University of Dallas students. for the 2025/2026 academic year.
No essay is required, simply complete the application below.
It is not required to submit a FAFSA or have financial need to apply. However, some scholarships give priority to students whose FAFSAs demonstrate need. If you have not yet submitted a 2025-26 FAFSA and would like to, you still have time to do so before the scholarship deadline.
This scholarship shall be awarded to one student at the University of Dallas for the 2025/2026 year. The award may cover tuition and/or room and board, as needed. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated need and are incoming freshmen or rising sophomores enrolled in the UD core curriculum for the 2025/26 year.
